By Friday Morning was created in 2003, shortly after my grandfather's death. The book depicts me driving the mile between my grandparents' farm and the cemetery where my grandfather is buried while I reflect on the preparations for his funeral. I made the images with a Polaroid Land camera, and I typed the text directly onto them with my grandmother's clunky typewriter. This artist's book is available in two forms: a chapbook version printed through lulu.com and an upcoming limited edition, handmade accordion book with digital reproductions of the original Polaroids.
